Weslaco

Parody news from the Heart of the Valley.

Is downtown real? Yes. Is our cursed museum exhibit? Nope.

SATIRE / PARODY — not real news

Mid-Valley mischief, meat-market myths, and downtown nostalgia gone sideways

Weslaco sits right in the middle of everything, and our satirical news sits right in the middle of Weslaco.

We invent cursed museum exhibits, imaginary turf wars at the meat markets, and totally fake civic meetings about the old downtown strip. It’s the Heart of the Valley, and we’re here to poke at its arteries. Mid-Valley jokes now include fake data-center groundbreakings downtown — historic brick on the outside, blinking lights and mystery water usage on the inside.

FAQ

Questions we pretend people ask

  • Are the meat markets actually fronts for underground bingo?Only on Tuesdays. Just kidding — that’s satire.
  • Did the city really ban dancing in your fake article?Yes, in the fictional town of our creation. Real Weslaco loves to dance.
  • Did Weslaco approve a data center above the meat market? No. That was us. The carne asada is real; the server racks are not.
