SATIRE / PARODY — not real news
The questions we get — including the data-center ones.
If you only remember one thing: this site is comedy. Full policy lives on the satire disclaimer.
- Is RGV Local News real? No. It is a satirical parody publication about the Rio Grande Valley. Stories are fabricated for comedy.
- What cities do you cover?McAllen, Brownsville, Edinburg, Harlingen, Weslaco, Mission, and Hidalgo/Cameron County tropes as joke desks — not beat reporting.
- Do you cover data centers?Yes — as satire. We invent absurd Valley data-center stories (water, wattage, warehouse vibes). We do not publish real infrastructure reporting. If a server barn joke shows up next to a city hub, treat it like the rest of the site: fake on purpose.
- Who are the writers?Michelle Diaz Desk, Jessica Walker Desk, Miguel Hernandez Desk, and David Anderson Desk are ghost-writer mascots — fictional bylines, not real journalists.
- How do I submit a tip?Send tips through the Contact page. We may turn them into satire. Do not send emergencies here. We may turn them into satire. We do not target real crime victims.
- Can I share articles as real news? Please do not. Share as comedy only.
