McAllen
Fake news from the City of Palms.
Is the traffic real? Tragically yes. Is our coverage? No.
SATIRE / PARODY — not real news
Shopping, snowbirds, and eternal 10th Street gridlock — invented on purpose — plus fake data-center drama
Welcome to the McAllen hub, where the shopping is world-class, the traffic on 10th Street is eternal, and our completely fabricated news coverage is second to none.
We cover the imaginary drama of La Plaza Mall, the secret lives of the snowbirds, and the ongoing, totally fake battle against toll road expansion. If it’s happening in McAllen, it probably isn’t, but we wrote a joke about it anyway. Lately we also invent data-center fever dreams: warehouse-sized server barns promising to cool the internet while somehow making 10th Street even hotter.
FAQ
Questions we pretend people ask
- Is the news about McAllen on this site real?Absolutely not. It’s 100% satire. If we say the mayor is replacing the palm trees with giant marigolds, it’s a joke.
- Why is the traffic so bad in your fake articles?Because mimicking the perfection of McAllen traffic would be boring. We exaggerate the gridlock for comedic effect.
- Did McAllen secretly become a global data-center capital overnight?Only in our satire. Real economic development is boring enough without us inventing a server farm that runs exclusively on parking-lot heat.
